MAINGUARD's passion in the security field led to the formation of SEATRO, an advocate and a pioneer for security education and professional upgrading of the industry in Asia.

SEATRO was established in 1983 to materialize the aims of educating and developing the security personnel and professionals through exhibitions, conferences and training seminars.

SEATRO comprises of two divisions:

Security Courses

Today, a few thousand security personnel in Asia and the Middle East would have been trained at SEATRO which has earned the reputation of being a leading security training school.

For instance, in catering to the needs of the local industry in Singapore, SEATRO works closely with Security Association of Singapore, the Singapore Productivity and Standards Board and the Skills Development Fund when developing its courses.

Security Conventions

The convention industry boom in the early 80s fuelled SEATRO's growth as it immersed itself into the business of organising international security conferences and exhibitions.

SEATRO has since developed an extensive portfolio of events which it organised including its own annual premier security event known as SECUREX which was pioneered in 1984. SECUREX has since been held in all the major cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, New Delhi, Madras, Shanghai, Tianjin and Perth.

Other major exhibitions and conferences which it has organised include:

MILLIPOL
an exhibition and conference which originated from France on high-tech security for the law enforcement and military

INDEPO
a security and defence event which SEATRO spearheaded in Dubai, the commercial hub of the Middle East.

Through Mainguard's and Mr Kalastree's extensive membership at various international associations, SEATRO has also hosted and organized a number of association meetings in Singapore and the region.

Having been in the convention industry for the almost 20 years, SEATRO knows the nuts and bolts of organising exhibitions, conferences and special events from the stages of conception, marketing and managing the entire event.
